Student Wellbeing

At Aurora, wellbeing is central to learning. We combine Steiner principles with insights from neuroscience, supporting both the “bottom-up” emotional and bodily rhythms and the “top-down” capacity for reflection and self-regulation. Through structured routines, creative work, and community connection, students develop resilience, empathy, and confidence to thrive academically, socially, and personally.

Intrinsic wellbeing

At Aurora, wellbeing grows from a sense of belonging; to oneself, to others, and to the world. Through supportive class and school culture, daily rhythms, creative work, and seasonal festivals, students develop self-awareness, connection, and harmony with their community and environment.

Focused wellbeing support

At Aurora, every student’s wellbeing is supported through a personalised, holistic approach. Individual Education Plans guide tailored learning, while wrap-around support ensures collaboration between the school, families, and external professionals. Our dedicated team, including the Director of Wellbeing and Support and the School Counsellor, works closely with students to provide guidance, care, and interventions, helping them thrive academically, socially, and personally.
