Playgroup
Aurora Playgroup is a gentle, welcoming space for children aged 2 to under 4 and their caregivers to explore, create, and connect. Rooted in the principles of Steiner education, our playgroup nurtures the whole child, head, heart, and hands, through imaginative, hands-on experiences.
Children enjoy activities that support curiosity, independence, and social skills, including storytelling, singing, handcrafts, seasonal celebrations, and outdoor play. A highlight of our program is bread baking, which helps children learn patience, care, and practical life skills in a joyful, sensory way. Seasonal cycles guide our rhythm of learning, connecting children with nature, community, and the changing year.
Playgroup is also a space for caregivers to connect, share, and learn, building supportive relationships within our school community. Families gain insight into Steiner learning and the rhythms that guide children’s development.

Parent Craft
At Aurora, Parent Craft is a special program designed to support and inspire parents and caregivers as they nurture their children’s growth. Parent Craft offers practical guidance, insight, and community connection, helping families understand and respond to the needs of children at different stages of development.
Through hands-on activities, seasonal projects, and reflective discussion, parents create meaningful crafts that nurture creativity, mindfulness, and practical skills. A highlight of the program is preparing and making craft items that are sold at the annual Aurora Spring Fair, giving families the opportunity to contribute to this much-loved school community event.
Parent Craft is a welcoming space to connect with other families, share experiences, and bring the joy of imaginative and practical learning into everyday life. It is a chance to enrich both home and school experiences while contributing to the wider Aurora community.
Class parent coordinators
Our Parent Coordinators play a vital role in nurturing the life of our school community. Acting as a warm bridge between families, teachers, and the wider school, they help foster connection, communication, and a sense of belonging. Parent Coordinators support class events, welcome new families, and encourage collaboration and care among parents, always with the wellbeing of the children at heart.
