As our primary school has grown over the past years, there’s been increasing demand for Steiner education through to Year 12 right here in the Highlands. The year 2020 saw the opening of our first high school class, and we are delighted to have a group of kind and capable young people as our pioneering cohort.

In 2024, Aurora Steiner High School is offering Years 7- 12.

My daughter’s expression and creativity have just flourished at the school, it’s been truly remarkable to watch. It’s rewarding as a parent to know we are giving our children a childhood experience like no other, with strong foundations for life.

Pioneer’s Scholarships for High School

Aurora Southern Highlands Steiner School has expanded to Year 12!

Over the coming years, we’re taking our eldest students right through their secondary schooling, with our first Year 12 group graduating in 2024.

In recognition of the grit, big-heartedness and leadership ability called for in our pioneering students, we’re proud to be offering a limited number of Pioneer’s Scholarships for students entering our high school in 2024.

These scholarships provide a 50% fee subsidy for the course of a student’s schooling.

Selection Criteria

AREA OF SPECIAL SKILL: Are you especially good at something, be it academic work, music, sport, or something else? We’re looking for students who strive for excellence and are committed to honing their skills.

ASPIRATION: We are looking for students who work hard. You don’t have to get the best marks but you have to be willing to take on new experiences, give things a go, and try your best.

SERVICE: At Aurora, we care about other people, our communities and our families. We want students who give back to others and we look for examples of how you do this.

LEADERSHIP: Are you someone who’s up for the challenge of helping to build a high school from the ground up? We call on our students to take initiative, be inclusive and welcoming, and make the most of the many opportunities at hand.

FINANCIAL NEED: Would this opportunity make a profound difference to your family?
